Crab for mantis

the crab i've bin trying to catch has managed to crawl into the smallest hole possible.
i have no idea how to get him out!!
i took the piece of LR out my tank and it is now in my sump..
any idea how to catch this guy??

there is a small hole opening up to the hole he is in... thought of pouring hot water down there to make him run out?? think it might cook him before he moves tho...

anyway, bottom line. anyone know how to catch a nuisance crab???
 
get a glass, put in a piece of shrimp. Angle it so that when the crab crawls into the glass to eat the shrimp he cannot get out.
 
smart move! will a piece of cooked chicken work? i dont have a shrimp...
 
no no dont put in chicen!

If anything do you have white fish? RAW NOT COOKED!
 
my bad. i'll have a look around. think i've got some hake..
will defrost a bit and use that.

NO CRAB 4 U!
soz lanzo, that crab died in the container i was keeping him in.
i left a small bit of fish in for him and i think it caused mega nitrates that ended up killing him. call me a bad person... :(

don't worry mr mantis is molting now.
next time put it in the sump as i said.
