CPR AeroFuge Protein Skimmer and Medium Refugium. Anyone using one of these? I just ordered one from the LFS. I've only got a 60 gal tank, and no real room for a sump underneath. It's coming with an 18" light, and the LFS is throwing in live rock rubble.

I sure will! It'll be about a week. [IMG] Here are more details.

CPR AeroFuge Protein Skimmer and Small Refugium Information

CPR Aquatic's AeroFuge combines the benefits of the popular AeroForce protein skimmer and AquaFuge refugium in one easy to set up unit. The AeroFuge is a complete filtration system utilizing an efficient recirculating skimmer as the primary device to remove harmful dissolved organics. The refugium will supplement denitrification and nutrient export to help maintain a clean and well balanced system. The refugium will also help feed the aquarium with a more diverse population of live food while also stabilizing pH.

    Additional Features
Overflow grate - retain macro algae in refugium
Black back - minimize light transfer to display tank
    Dual Body Recirculating Skimmer
    Degassing water return
Light - maximize macro algae growth (DX Models)
    Each AeroFuge Includes
Dual body protein skimmer and refugium
    Feed pump
    Protein skimmer pump
    Skimmate collection cup
Aquarium Rating (depending on bio-load and refugium set up)
    AEFG1SM - Up to 75 gallons
    AEFG1MD - Up to 90 gallons
    AEFG1LG - Up to 110 gallons
    Installation Requirements
Accommodates rim sizes up to 1.75"
Skimmer extends 13" below the tank rim
3.5" needed between aquarium and wall (body only)
    Small AeroFuge
    AEFG1SM (Standard)
    AEFG1SMDX (with lighting)
    Water Capacity : 4 Gallons
    Dimensions :
    Overall: 18"L x 3.5"W x 17"H
    Skimmer: 7"L x 3.5"W x 17"H
    Refugium: 11"L x 3.5"W x 13"H

Since I don't really have room for a sump, and was worried about water going everywhere - if there was a malfunction, he suggested I get one of these. We'll see how it works. :)

Looks very neat, but like Pete said, we don't get in South Africa (YET!).
Let us know how it goes.
