Just take a piece of glass and glue plastic on to sides (to make it float) and Bobs your uncle.

Thanks. Was not really feeling like making one as I am impatient when I want to do something, but I guess there is no other way at the moment. I have only seen them once before here in JHB.

I made a temp one this evening but its quite small. But it should keep me busy while making a better bigger one.

Marius, if you want to make a decent one, use 3mm glass, and make it wide enough and deep enough so that the length (from side to side) of the camera can fit nicely inside. But make sure that the flash still pass the glass box. Reason I see deep, is that you can then "angle" the glass without water coming into it. The 3mm does not give any distortion. I have a few (trial and error) but the one described above works best

Thanks Sean. The one I made last night was a longish black tube with 4mm glass in front. Was only 80mm in diameter through. Will make one with a larger diameter soon. I must say though that it is a very uncomfortable feeling waving my camera over the tank so close to the water with just one hand.

I can just imagine the explanation on the insurance claim.

 Know the feeling too well, hence the reason for the last one to be deeper, just in case:thumbup: , and it works for the "in case it goes skew"
