    Hi all
I am getting a presentation ready for the divers of Alpha dive centre strand, telling them what corals are and showing them some common corals and explaining how corals can be kept in an aquarium.

Just fishing for some ideas of stuff i should include.........

    Thanks!

Defining the groups e.g. soft, hard
    Common depth
Symbiotic relationships (eg what other critters can divers look for in or around the corals)
    Feeding type / food
    Unique traits
    Definitely loads of pics :)

how much time do you have for your presentation?

    As mentioned, start with groups.

Can include beneficial critters plus the not reef safe critters found in and around the corals. But that would be another topic on its own.

thanks for the input, It starts with Cnidaria and describing the ANIMALS which coral are, and why they are important for reef animals....food and what corals themselves eat.....shelter......biodiversity....symbiosis...then ons soft, lps and sps with pics of common corals and then showing them some pics of home reefs, would appreciate some pics of amazing looking tanks of some members, showing that it is a fishtank and not in the wild, if u know what i mean ;)

I have as long as I want but don't wanna bore people.

And lastly I define them as Carnivores, this is true right? Cnidaria as a group are carnivores, even though some rely on photosynthesis, it is the zooxanthalle who are photosynthetic supplying the coral, the coral themselves are carnivorous right? not autotrophs or chemoautotrophs
