    Swine...where did you find that? Been after one of these for years but for some stupid reason they're hardly ever imported. :pIt's Rumphella, photosynthetic gorgonian. Rather easy to keep.

    Similar. Pinnigorgia usually branches at right angles though and is more slender.

    Thank you Squire, that looks like the one, in all my searching I don't remember ever coming across that name :confused1: Here, have a :peroni:. No idea where I got it from, I think it may have come on a batch of live rock I bought a few years ago.

    They're Indo-Pacific, rather than Caribbean like most photosynthetic gorgonians. It's a little bit bizarre that they aren't regular imports, because they're very common pretty much everywhere in their range. One of the reefs at Sodwana has a thicket of 50cm high colonies. I saw about 10 species in Sulawesi, most of which were quite spectacular. You can also keep them in FOWLR tanks because hardly anything eats them.
