On second thoughts, has it got a hard skeleton or soft sponge. If hard it could be a galaxy coral as it looks like it has individual heads. Need a few more pic's

It's Hard and pink! (lol!) Bright shocking pink! It's also got this green hue when the actinic's on.

I got It from the beach as It was pretty and pink, placed It In my tank and then It went a dark brown. It's slowly getting pink again. It's got the same growth structure as cat paw coral.

Looks like our local variation of Pocillopora, but don't go collecting any more as they (hard corals) are one of the protected species in our waters and it is illegal to remove it from our oceans. ;)

I got this at the beginning of the year when I didn't know much about beach rules. Oops! My bad! Oh well! No need crying over spilled milk. I can take It back but I highly doubt It would survive?

:nono: I'm not sure if you're joking, but if you're serious then please PM me ASAP as I am very unhappy about these comments from you. Any member found reporting other MASA members to DAFF or any other government organisation for that matter will be promptly removed from MASA, I will not allow any members to bring this forum into disrepute. We are not affiliated in any way with any government organisation and we never will be.

Under no circumstances do we condone illegal activities, but if we do come across such incidents we are fully capable of dealing with them by ourselves.

Unfortunately these things happen and I dont think someone should be held liable for it.

Not to stir a pot (I really just want clarity on this), but then this also raises the question on fragging- as I understand it, this is illegal in south africa for some stupid reason? Would all the fraggers on the forums (a good portion of all forum members be it accidental or deliberate fragging) then need to be reported?

@viper357, coral has been id'd and confirmed. best is to lock this thread or make it disappear.
other issues can be sorted out without being advertised and people getting emotional.
