    Hey everyone,

So I was just thinking, I always see corals for sale and always seem to miss the sale. I was wondering how a coral auction will go down. Lets say I start a sale of a coral at R200 and then everyone can bid on the coral at say R20 increments, the person with the highest bid after 48 hours gets the coral.

    Interesting idea.
Then I do not need to check the for sale forum every hour...
Give me change to get that really nice looking zoa - at a price I'm willing to pay extra...

Excellent Idea ... In fact we should get the big boys involved to create a thread especially for this with a set of rules in place so theres some form of regulations involved ..... Some points to enforce ....
    1) There must be a start and end time of a planned auction so those interested reefers can make enough prep time to be online to bid
    2) There should be a time limit as to when funds need to paid over or item will be relisted and we can use our own discretion as the last winning bidder as a reefer that is not to be seriously taken when t comes to sales ....
    3) There MUST be a pic
    4) There should be some from of feedback / reputation status viewable to all of sellers and buyers
    5) There could be a market value of the coral available
    6) And lastly MASA could gain from this as in taking a very small percentage like maybe 1% to contribute to the upkeep and maintainance of this site

Awesome rules, maybe 10% should be given back to MASA though.

We did have Auction software installed but nobody used it so I deleted it. :p If there is enough interest in it then we could look into installing it again, unless you just want to use a normal thread.
Thanks for the thought, but no thanks. ;)

Yes, just wish I could slow down a bit and get everything sorted.

    But I like this idea..

Sorry man typo error - It supposed to be 10% - Was battling to get the font to stop underlining .... Would be nice to give something back to an awesome site and it would be some kind of control for the serious auctioneers ...

Please install it, it would really help because I hate it when people call dibs on something and I never get the chance to buy it, even though I would of paid more for the item.

Viper, is it possible to move this thread to the home page so we can see what everyone else thinks. I know a lot of people don't really look in this section.

I'll look into it, I know the software hasn't been updated for about 4 years so not sure if it's 100% compatible but I'll have a look around.

    Done.

    this is a good ide
We just have to make the thing like
Yahoo jap auction if a guy bids in the last 5min then the auction gets extended by 5min (so every one gets a chance on a fare bid)
