    Morning

My aptasia problem is starting to bother me and chemical and zapper do not seem to be cutting them back enough.

I think I am going to have to try a CPB and some Peppermint shimp when I can find some large enough.

My problem is I have a Yellow, a Sailfin and Regal tang. The Yellow is a bit of a bully. The others are chilled.

I am worried about adding the CPB. I really don't want the poor guy to get hurt.

    Obviously lights out when adding.
I have heard a smaller specimen would not be to much of a threat and be left alone.
A mirror on the side of the tank to keep the tangs busy.

    Any other ideas?

Ross, I'm keeping a PB, Sailfin, Regal, Naso and 2 YT's, with my CB. Your problem may not be the tangs but rather a tang that has become the "alpha male". My PB every now and then goes berserk for my CB...he just ducks and hides away till things are calmed down.

A mirror did help when I had originally introduced the CB. Yes, try and get a small and healthy one who is readily eating (as least) frozen mysis. Get the LFS to feed him first. If u can sump the CB for about a month then u can fatten him up, also feed him with aptasia infested LR. Rather get him acclimatised to your tank water first, then to his tank mates. Could be a bit stressful both at the same time. They prone to white spot as well, if u can quarantine for a while would be safer on him and his tank mates. If there was one fish built for a purpose in every tank, it has be a CB.

    Thanks Adee

Don't know if I could sump him. My sump is always in the dark. Would that be a prob?

Quarantine tank mmmmm .... Sore point. I have the tank but no space to put it. That is why I have not been getting fish. Would be devastated if something happened to my fish.

Maybe will keep zapping for a bit longer and get more AptasiaX.

You could just install a cheap CFL fitting and a globe to provide illumination.

I'm the same, I have just not gotten around to setting up a proper QT system. And I'm shit scared of buying any fish as my set-up is currently WS free.

Try intoducing it in an acclimitisation box.
Leave it there a few hours/days depending on level of aggression shown.

He will eat all size aptaisia. will just start with tha small guys and work up. It's often why people think its not working, it is just eating what you can't see yet.
