I'm looking for some advice,my dt temp is running at about 28degrees,with the heaters lf. How can i bring it safely down to 25,and keeping it constant, without a chiller. My dt is 1800x600x600,i'm also running a small ats,and considered running a small fan over it. Any ideas?

Some use "clip-on" Fans...will try and get one of the Threads with pic's....and I've also seen guys posting here saying that they freeze Coke Bottles and put it in the sump...I myself have a 58L Nano and freeze water in a small 250ml plastic bottle and place it in my Filter section and exchange as needed...I have about 12 of them...250ml defrosts very quickly...:p

These are also used...but a bit pricey..

simple thing as a PC fan blowing over your ATS will cool your system.
But is the ATS in an open space. Not in closed up sump area?

Or PC fan blowing across either display or sump. But note, your evaporation rate will increase.

Else look into Idol Marine Eva-coolers. basically evaporative coolers.

Why don't you switch off the heaters?
    the fans do work.

I run a small fan over my DT and my heaters are set to 25 with a prossecor. The temp. goes upto 25.1 and never below 25. The heaters are flicking on and off constantly.

your options are limited to spending sick amounts of cash on a chiller or half that amount for one of idol marines eva units ( very slick ) if you want the quick answer.

If you like me prefer to spend a little less you can opt for the Clip on fans....these work well but you might have to play around with how many you need. start with one and see how it goes....:p

The heaters should only kcik in when the temperature drops below 25 that is if the heater is set to 25

Sorry for, replying only now. I'm running 2x150w mh's,and 4x54w T5's. The clip fans on the Dt sounds good, let me upload
some pics of my Dt,with the canopy open, maybe that will help more with idea's. O ja,i'm upgrading the canopy soon, keeping the mh's,but replacing the 54w with 80w's.
