Hi All,I am looking into the costruction of a concrete tank with viewing windows...any info or links would be appreciated...concrete specs(salt water resistant,40 Mpa,coatings to concrete),viewing windows(acrylic, expensive, vulnerable to scratching, glass, type of frame, waterproofing)
Ideally tank to be sunlit, metal halides for evening viewing...rock(reef)scape to be built insitu...looking forward to your replys;)

Just to add ,the idea is to diy this monster...maybe a lotto win will allow acrylic tunnels :slayer: otherwise I have to be as cost sensitive as possible.cool.

Wow fisheye - sounds really COOL!

I think that you would have to build/construct it like any other tank (at first forget about the "salt-water" part....) - then use something like lots of either swimming pool marbelite(sp?) or perhaps the stuff that boats are built of (

Have a look at the following:
    http://www.mjmurphy.co.nz/Projects/AquariumsTunnels/tabid/298/Default.aspx

    for some ideas...
