Hi everyone, hope i am pasting this in the correct section.

I have a buyo TL550 with loads of softies in.

My question, will a trigger be compatible with the coral ?

I know everyone said no no no ... no, but I am planning on getting a very small one and as time goes buy, will sell it if it gets to big.

My problem is, I don't want to loose all the stunning softies.

    Please advise

Your system is a bit small for a trigger and it wouldnt be worth it, they grow very fast.

And it's a 50/50 gamble it might or might not nip your corals.

It going to be impossible to catch the fish when it gets bigger though, you going to have to take your whole tank apart...

I've tried to catch a fish once and eventually just gave up. Unless you are prepared to take all your live rock out, it is going to take a lot of patience to catch a fish in your tank.

ok, on another point, i read that trigger fish are preditors right. mmm, are my hermits safe lol ? and maybe snails ...

lastly, this will decide if i am getting one or not ...

will my other creatures be safe (which include turbo snails, hermits, a clown fish, and 2 damsels?) and lastly, corals ...

I'm going to just say in my opinion I dont think it is a good idea. There are so many fish more suited to a nano, I love my corals to much to take a chance as well...

I won't chance that - as beautiful as they are, nothing is safe with them except live rock with nothing on it :whistling:

Was great to meet with you today zerocool, but as i also advised stay away from a trigger especially in a tank the size of yours unless you intend upgrading soon.
