The annual reef aquarium extravaganza known as Reefapalooza is happening again in Orange California this weekend. This is the first year that Reefapalooza has been preceded by two sister shows with RAP in Orlando and RAP in New York, but make no mistake about it, the original Reefapalooza is the grand-daddy of them all.

Reefapalooza 2015 will have over 150 coral vendors and marine aquarium companies, some great speakers, and the world famous reef aquarium raffle which many attendees come for alone. This year’s RAP also features some great speakers who are also diehard reef aquarists like our own Mike Paletta, best-selling author Tony Vargas, myself (Jake Adams) as well as Tullio Del Aquilla.

We’re reluctant to admit that we’ve missed the last two California Reefapaloozas but we’re going to make up for it this year by having a bigger presence than ever. This year we’ll be doing some sweet giveaways each day, including the just-announced Innovative Marine Hydrofill Titanium, a Triton Reef dosing package and an Aqua Illumination Hydra 26 LED.

If you’re a fan of books, or wrasses, or books about wrasses, be sure to swing by the booth to see our first physical publication, the Wrasse Bible by Rudie Kuiter. The Wrasse Bible  is a must have for all enthusiasts of the huge family of wrasse fishes, we’ll have some copies on hand, at special show prices, but don’t wait too long to come check it out because we sold out of them at MACNA.

But most of all you should swing by the Reef Builders booth, number 514, to say hi, talk reef a little bit and tell us about what you like about our coverage of the reef aquarium hobby, and what you’d like to see more of.We’re really looking forward to catching up with all of our California readers at Reefapalooza this weekend and of course, seeing what’s new and interesting in the heartland of the American reef aquarium hobby.

Reefapalooza doors open this Saturday October 10th at 10 a.m. with a very low entry price of just $15.
