[wtd] Combing

    Morning, I think its called combing. Looking for this in black Perspex to fit around the overflow.

    any glass shop will have it. black perspex. rather try and get them to cut you the box u desire and u can make a comb. u can cut it with a jigsaw. or better just make the box and use egg crate and paste it on the top. will work out cheaper.

    That it would, need to cover the overflow. That way it has a better visual effect. Besides with the lights overhead, the overflow tend to get coralline buildup and sometimes algae, that I don't want visible.

    Andre, what length was it and when do you think you will be getting again.

    Eish dude that's heaps, your best option will be to buy a piece of acrylic at Maiseys, take it to a plastics fabricator and have the teeth laser cut and your sorted !

    3mm black ABS sheet, Bench cut off machine, chair, beer and some patience and it's done lol

    Xtreme, that is the best. As the guys know I do a lot of my own DIY. Problem is this time I don't have all the tools I need and a cut off saw/grinder will be the wrong choice of tool, as it wold melt the Perspex/ABS and then the disc clogs up and that is danger
