most frequented spots for rock pools are nahoon and the west bank (dangerous).. nahoon and yellows river are prime collecting spots for diving.. gonubie river is a little shallow atm but there is potential in the mouth

there are alot of beaches either way of east london that will more than likley offer a few goldies but the fish have been scarce down here owing to the massive water temp swings we have been experiencing over the last 6 weeks..

I was thinking about going up the coast to Eastern Cape during Easter for a fish collecting mission, will the water be warm enough for fish? Where are the best places, East London, Koffie Bay?

no prob dean just give me a call,

@tim the water temps down here can change in a few hours beiing warm (governed by a south westerly) to going freezing cold (should a southerly come up)

so its a bit of hit and miss.. march april is generally Tang time in the kei and durban.. we start thinning in the majority of fish species over this time but still find moorish etc if the season has been good..

it all hangs off of the rain (makes the rivers dirty) and wind.

Should be a good holiday anyway :)
So you rate the Kei is the way to go?
What about all the shark warnings I've been hearing about lately?

East of Nahoon beach below the hotel there is a nice spot in the river I think its called Blue Bend, locals please correct me if I am wrong.Mermaids pool is the well known spot a Nahoon.I keep being told that West Bank is unsafe so I would stay away from there.
