I live in toti and you won't find anything really ggod unless you go to Ushaka beach on the limestone and by the recycling centre beach all the way to the right of where the fisherman are. You can find a couple of cool fish around durban and Umhlanga.

As Willie says, Toti is no good for collecting anything other than common Zoas. I have stayed here my whole life and I haven't caught anything decent in the shallows. There is a reef off Warner beach thats pretty good, but you'll need fins and some pretty impressive breathing techniques!

Try North of Toti, Limestone is good. Further north is Umdloti rock pool which is decent.

    Good luck!

Howsit, While searching for tidal pools on the net last year, I read of one near warner beach, reviews showed its nice to snorkel in etc. Any idea of its exact location.

The tidal pool at Warner Beach is the size of a swimming pool about 1m deep and always has kids in it. I have seen few fish there, but nothing to brag about.

How about Isipingo? Tiger rocks have many pools with good fish and then by the refinery there are pools with bumble bee shrimps as well. Basically Isipingo is next to toti. There is a reef at tiger rocks as well - fins needed. The reef can be walked at spring low

Yeah Toti sucks, don't bother... In fact the whole south coast is really bad for collecting :whistling:...

Yep I am. Isipingo beach would be your best bet at the rocks there.
