coast to coast Fuge

    This is my idea gane have a coast to coast overflow in my 240lt was thinking it would be cool to out some LR in there with some cheato which will run on the DT lighting and then ill have a DSB in sump and cheto there to running when the DT light goes off what do you guys think that is such a wast of space will be running a durso in the chamber as well ???

    I'm no expert but since I opened the page I have to give my 2c lol. Sounds good to me , will be nice flitration and some life will harvest in there ... But it could get clogged up, just be carefull about that.
    Oh and btw. . . Good luck on getting Cheato :p

    Could work but,

    Firstly you run the risk of flooding due to clogging of the overflow and the return pump is pumping all the water from your sump.
    Secondly you will trap all the detrus and bad stuff in your overflow.
    Thirdly, whats the point of having the "extra" filtration if its going to get skimed out in anycase??

    Just some thoughts.

    Reason is just seems like a wast of space to me

    Hi roderigo
    Ideally you want your Chaetomorpha after your skimmer.
    Mechanical filtration > Biological filtration > Chemical filtration.

    I know all about that guys my sump is set up like that just want to know what a person could put in there , or use that space for just an idea

    Leave it empty, or if you really want to put something in there, add filter wool but be
    careful nothing blocks or find its way down the gutter dude.
