yes, provided the tan kis big enuff, might have to add them at the same time, if one is there already, add him to the sump a doy or 2 before and then re-add them together for help with terittories

From what I know Maroon clown are one of the most aggressive clowns, if it were me I would not risk it.

why do you want to mix them anyway?

try get a pair of whatever you settle on, and often with clowns size does make a difference. if you can get two that are disimilar in size with one larger than then other it often helps prevent inter competition between them so they pair and settle faster.

It would be better to have a pair of one species rather than mix. And maroons are pretty nasty at times, you could get a bad bunch and them tear up everythin, or they could be docile. I had a decent sized one that was perfectly fine until i added another maroon to see if they would pair up and all hell broke loose. after that she was so cheeky to everything. So up until that point she was fine. So decide what you want and go for it, if you go for maroon, you must know what can go wrong. they are very beautiful though, especially the gold bar maroons. i currently have three clowns in my 2metre. a maroon and two occelaris clowns. it wasnt planned though, i wouldt have done it if i the situations were different, but they all sleep togerther in the one corner of the tank, never show any aggression at all. they are still relatively small though so there is room to go wrong. but for you i'd say stick with a pair
