I just want to share the good news with you guys.I bought myself a clown tang a few weeks back....and he didn't want to eat anything a offered him.

After some read up on the net I saw that this is an usual behavior of these species in captivity.I think what saved this fish is the fact that my tank has been well established over a few years with some algae growth.

He only ate algae of the power heads and rocks and nothing else, last night when I offered marine mix mixed with vita C he went for it. I'm so happy as I dont want to lose the beautiful fish.

He is thin at this stage but eats so I hope he will recover soon....;)

Awsome news bud ! See if you can keep his immune system up . I've read that seaweed wrap soaked in garlicguard works well (and apparently tangs love it)

Great to hear Jinx. Please offer it some NORI too! You can lie the nori in some garlic juice as well - to ensure good health.

Please note that these are extremely aggresive tangs (towards other tangs). You will probably not be able to add any more tangs to your tank though.

What also sometimes works is for him to see tankmates eat . Follows their lead so to speak
