Clown ID needed

    Can anyone please help in the absolute correct ID of these two fish please.

    1. Clarkii Clownfish (Amphiprion clarkii) or sebae clownfish - (Amphiprion sebae)

    The first one is a Clarkie and second is a Sabae.

    Neither - both are clarkii's - the bottom one COULD be an Allard's Clown (amphiphron allardi).....

    Neither are sebae's.....

    01st is Sebae 02nd is Clarkii. I know my own fish...LoL :whistling:

    Sebae white band goes all around the body

    The tail of the sebae goes down to the tail, the pics are both amphiprion clarkii

    A ha, so you spotted my deliberate mistake:whistling:

    I did, of course mean, that the rear white stripe goes over the back down the tail:)

    So Clarkis have 3 stripes and Sebae have 2.

    Learn something new everything couple of minutes :)

    No, they both have the two, but the rear stripe on the sebae runs back toward the tail.

    Ok, I now see.

    But check the Clarki, it's tail is yellow and white, almost like a third stripe.

    Mike - you mean - there is an extension of the 2nd white stripe, onto the rear top dorsal fin....???

    No, the stripe, curves towards the tail, where the Clarki is way more straight

    Yes, but the way i read the description, it seems that the final white stripe is part of the tail, but yes you could call it a third stripe.

    Yep, that's what i mean.

    What about the difference in body shape and thickness of the white lines?

    HHHmmm - mine is DEFINITELY a sebae... BUT, it does NOT have a 3rd white stripe on the tail..... :)

    BUT, it does indeed have an extension of the 2nd stripe ONTO the rear dorsal fin...
