Urgent help needed cloudy tank

    hi need help with my tank please
    water in tank has been cloudy for 4 days now.
    No2 - 0.1
    Ph - 8.0
    Nh3/Nh4 - 0.25ppm
    No3 - 5.0ppm
    Alk - 2.9 - 3.6

    if your ammonia is detectable, u need to get all your livestock out.

    something is dying off

    add a lots oxygen.
    have livestock? your tank stil cycling

    Do a big water change and get seachem AMguard and prodibio bio digest

    i cant accept it. big water change lost bacteria.
    no livestock, no problem

    yes livestock, yes problem then drop prime.

    Then just leave it

    This is a very broad range and is the dkh or meq

    Other than that we need more detail mate, could be anything i.e. added new gravel....

    make sure you have enough oxygen like a little airstone and do 1-2 waterchanges surethen it will clear up quickly.. you might have a little bloom becasue of the rocks you moved around, if the fish or corals doesnt seemed to be bothered i wont stress much

    You may be overdoing the carbon if you're having a major bloom.

    Is your skimmer big enough, was there any shock to the system like power failure etc.

    carbon has been in for 2 months now. and skimmer is rated for 400l but DT is 280l and sump 95l

    In a Reactor? then should be fine can't really overdose.

    You shouldn't have macro algae or phos remover in the tank with a carbon dosing method, do you have anything like that? No DSB or dual filtration method?

    If nothing like that a couple of water changes every 2nd day for a while should sort it out.

    Carbon should be replaced monthly.. I replace mine every 2 weeks...

    Replace Carbon
    Skim Wetter
    Waterchanges

    are we talking a carbon dosing method or just carbon (black stuff) in a reactor?
