    What do you guys use?

My glass is 10mm and the magnets I've used just don't seem to cut it.

I don't want to get into the tank every time I've got some tough algae.

fanie, most magnets will pull off the glass if you use them bradsided, if you use them with the narrow side to the front they have less resistance and hold a little better..

i personally use a boyu magnet (the biggest one) on 15mm in this manner sucessfully, my plans are to get an AM mega mag with scraper for future but they are pricey hence the wait..

    Tunze Power Magnets

Tunze Power Magnets  are the best imo, dont rust, easy to change the pads and strong as an iron ox.

I'm using the thin side :D

Where can I get the AM one? and what do they cost? Give or take?

The tunze ones look awesome but the blade attachment on the AM looks nice.

I bought a brand new Boyu magnet and using it the 1st time it gave me a long deep scratch on my DT front panel.

Which reminds me, whats the best way to get out scratches? Is there like a kind of glass polish I can use?

    @The Waterboy - Marco

I actually saw them on your store page, that's why I'm in between the Tunze and the AM. How beneficial would the blade be?

The tunze would be easier to get though, I'm ordering a RO unit from you in a few days anyway :p

to be honest....i have both but find the tunze magnet smaller, more effective, and spares pad availability a bit better.............
also the AM scrapper even though i look after it....seems to rust after about 3 cleans......

so am -magnet with scrapper to clean coraline algae is better....without scrapper its mediocre.....scrappaer is additional cost and blades are pricey

but tunze magenet better overall...............however no scrapper

    your choice:tt2:

    hmmmm :p

I think I'll be placing my order for a tunze with my RO unit from marco in that case.

Reason being that my long spined urchin stripes caroline from like rocks like its nothing. I doubt he'll/she'll/it will leav the caroline on my panels alone so I think a magnet will suffice.

    :D
