    Hi guys

I recently stopped using a filter sock and now i see that detritus and other particles are collecting in the bottom of the intake chamber of the sump, and in between the baffles. How would one syphon it out between the baffles?

Ive tried hooking up some pipes to a pump, but i guess there's too much air in the system to get the syphon going

    Any ideas?

Rather put the pipe to the pump outlet, and just blow it out. Yes, still in the system, but at least either picked up by skimmer or settled on DSB to be consumed.

Syphon it out, not going to work. Not easy to syphon a sump. :(

You can siphon a sump, put the hose at the highest point possible in the sump, suck and drop the other end to the floor, that will get the siphon going.
