Cleaning Chiller

Not that I ave ever cleaned(or thought about cleaning) my chiller I would Imagine compressed air would be your best bet though.

Compressed air for outside, but inside the water side ?

ok, hook a nice pump up to some fresh water add some vinegar and keep pumping it out for an hour or so.

Then some fresh water without vinegar again.

The vinegar should get rid of the salt deposits etc

Yip agree with Kanga. A nice strong vinegar mix should help.Place the pump and return from chiller in a bucket. Then when finished remove vinegar water and use RO for a while. It is almost impossible to get all the water out the chamber so rather RO water than vinegar.

Yep, vinegar is rather acidic so it will shift all the deposits, but don't pump it through, pour in the vinegar and let it soak for a bit before running fresh water through - worked very well for my skimmer.

I would think whatever you use the flow direction while cleaning must be opposite to the normal operating direction. That should be able to get rid of stuff trapped that was too big to flow through.
