Cleaner Shrimp Losing Legs !!

Hi Guys,

I have 2 cleaner shrimp in my 28G Nanocube. This morning, 1 of the shrimp has lost all his antennae and what looks like front legs !!

What could have done this ? I have a resident gorilla crab which Im trying to get rid of but don't know if it would do that.

Will his legs and antennae grow back when he moults ?

Thanks so much, whats the best way to get rid of the gorilla crab ? Ive heard of a torch with red cellophane to see it at night ? Ive also seen a trap sold for them. I cant take the live rock out the tank as its all aquascaped together.
 
whiskey glass with some food in it. But the cleaners will also go for it. If you can, sump the cleaners for day or 2.
 
Thanks Riaan, I have a Nanocube with built in sump so cant sump the cleaners, will stick on a hanging basket for them and target feed mysis.
 
what fish do you have? i have noticed that my pj cardinal will go for antenna if that is all he can see, he will then leave it alone ones he realises its a shrimp.
 
Ive got a 1 x Scopas Tang who is super chilled, 1 x sand goby, 1 x bi color blenny, 1 x bi color dottyback, 1 x spotted mandarin, 2 x clownfish, 1 x tuxedo urchin, 1 x starfish, 2 x cleaner shrimp, 3 x turbo snails. They all used to get on really well. I have a resident gorilla crab which Riaan thinks is the cause so will try the whiskey glass method and see.
 
Have you checked your calcium levels? While still learning a lot in the beginning, my calcium dropped big time and as a result my cleaner lost his antennae. As soon as my calcium was back up his antennae grew back extremely fast.
 
How old is the shrimp?
