i'm sure i'm not the only one who is tired of there cleaner schrimp babies being chomped by the other fish. so i plan to try and breed with them, so here is what i have done so far: i have built a fuge and am now able to separate the fry from the fish before they are released into the tank, by simply moving the mommy/daddy schrimp into the fuge. my question now is , do i have to remove the parent from the tank after the eggs are released? would they eat there own ? what else can i feed them other than gut loaded(what can i gut load with) rotifer or brine? any other sugestions i may not have thought of would also be appreciated

My dads cleaner shrimp let go of her/his eggs last night, it was so sad to watch them be eaten so I put the light off. I have also tried saving them in the but they just die

I dont have the brine shrimp ready in time and dont know where to get rotifers.

Will be tagging along to see if I ll be able to save them one day.

    Good luck

just in case you do want to try for yourselfwhat you would do is turn off your lights as you did, and then place a small light (like LED small) near where they are being released, light atracts them when they are small, they sifen them out with a hose (easyest way without damage to them). then you could feed them baby brine. decapsulate the eggs if you can as they will be more neutrisious. i am at the moment trying to get some rotifer, already have the phyto plankton and am getting the hang of splitting it and so on. will have to post some pics of that too. i would gladly give you some if you like, and when i get some rotifer i'll have to build up some stock first, but would share that too.

thanks for the well wishes guys, feel free to send advice too:thumbup:
