It is obviously still scared, and stressed out from being caught at the shop, and then transported to your house. Also, it still needs to adapt to your water (you did drip-acclimatise it properly?) - oh, and do you know what your tank water's parameters (SG, pH, etc.) is, and how it compares with that of the shop?

Clowns don't swim about all that much in any case...

I would suggest that you leave the tank lights off for a day or two, and restrict movement close to the tank to a minimum for the next few days as well.

Hi Antman, welcome to MASA, clown fish don't tend to tear around the tank much at best, they also fair much better in pairs.
Try to introduce fish late in the day, then leave the lights off, the evening quiet time allows them to settle easier.

welcome bud.. are there any other fish? sometimes solitary or new additions can be shy for quite sometime.. if water parameters are good it should only be a matter of time before they are settling... try keeping the room they are in quiet and perhaps dimm the lighting a little untill they settle.. i had a simular problem with my bi colour i added 3 weeks ago and now he is very happy and in charge of the tank.. good luck

well you params seem fine it may just be a case of settling in.. just be mindful of the occurence of diseases and the effects of stress..
