How long have you had the clam?
Sorry to say but that is a really bad sign and it will more than likely be dead by tomorrow, does it look like the mantle has sort of shrunk a bit?

I’ve had it since September. the mantle seems to be folded double inside the shell.
It’s been like this for about two weeks now.

The problems with clams, once they start looking bad, they really can be difficult to get right (ie normally peg)

Why do you want to move it to another tank? Is there something different in the other tank?

Sounds odd that it has been like this for 2 weeks, can you post a photo of it so we can ID it and try to diagnose the problem a bit better.

Run a complete set of tests before assuming there is something wrong with the tank. The other tank could be the same if you dont run tests.

to be honest its 50/50 now........
i've seen em perish overite after looking like that and i've seen a few recover.......

That wouldn't be the cause of your clams unhappiness. However, you should just ground your tank using an earth wire.

It is best when adding a clam to ones tank to put it on the right place according to the clams need and leave it there. Moving a clam around is not good at all. A healthy clam should shut from the shadow by just moving your hand over the water.
