Clam not looking good

Help needed
My clam is spilting and not opening full.

Any idea what's the reason is ?

I have had it for 5 months now.

Afraid that doesn't look good- unlikely to make it imo. It's gaping and the retracting into the mantle is a sign of stress. Lots of potential causes from flow to light to pests

Check underneath for tiny snails.

I dont think that will make it much longer. like Riaan said check for some sort of predator

It didn't make it, it just deteriorated
