Good lights, low to medium waterflow. Do search in MASSA for "clams," I think @Makeeal did a thread pertaining to clam care.
    Clams are great!

Sand/rock and lights! Those are clam rules.
Maxima clams need great to moderate lights and a rock/rubble to attach their byssas filaments, crocea clams love sandy beds and are more forgiving in terms of light. Squamosa/Gigas clams are the big boys (or girls:blush:), live in deeper water on the sand bed.
All clams love light, moderate flow and stable water (even though some live in tidal pools).
    You decide, all are great!

How long should a setup be running before adding a clam? I am asking this because before you gat a nennie people advised me to have the tank at least 12 months...
