[IMG]Chrysiptera traceyi is not a well-known damselfish in the aquarium hobby, but new collections in the northern Marshall Islands have yielded some U.S. bound Tracey’s demopiselles. The Chrysiptera genus already includes many fancy damselfish species including Chrysiptera arnazae, Chrysiptera niger and Chrysiptera springeri.

Tracey’s demoiselle is known mostly from Guam where it is the dominant Chrysiptera species yet the new pictures that we’ve seen were of some freshly collected C. traceyi collected from the island of Kosrae in the federated states of Micronesia. At least one U.S. based importer is expecting a few dozen Chrysiptera traceyi in the coming weeks, we’ll keep you posted with new details on Tracey’s demoiselle when they land.
