Hi, it might be my imagination but I often smell chlorine in my newly produced RO. My RO unit is a 5 filter and not a RO/DI. My TDS meter reads 0 mostly and somedays will read 1 PPM in the RO. My normal tap water reads over 90 most days so I know my meter is working. So can chlorine pass though the RO membraine and be undetected my the TDS meter or is this just my nose playing tricks on me?

Do you smell it in the water before you do the RO ?>

Take a sample of the RO to a LFS and see if its the same.
