    Hi Toppdogg.
The best place for a chiller is outside. Always good to build a box around it so that rain etc... doesn't get to it. But when building this box for the chiller, make sure there is adequate holes for ventalation.

outside in a well ventelated area safelytucked away from the elements, these chillers have a safety that switches them off should the surrounding temp exceed 40-50 deg (i stand to correction on the exact temp).

I feed my chiller with a seperate pump. I have been contemplating the idea of hooking it to my return aswell.

I was thinking of just circulating the water in my sump on new setup on smaller pump so that flow is slower and will cool more effectively from return chamber to inlet chamber what do you think ?

if possible try insulate the piping you use with either polystyrene or the foam they use for aircon piping, its not always necessary but id does help save a bit of juice..
