    They do work wonders. I know @RiaanP uses them on his tank with great success. There is actually a lot of members using them.

    Also check Idol Marine's threads as they make and sell a neat tank cooling system. I will check if I can find it.

    This can work, only if the container is completely full of water. Any air pocket on the top and it will not work.
    I would put the heatsink and fan on the side. So that the air pocket thing on the top is not an issue.

    Its like farting against the wind you won't get anywhere if you get that very hot days for a week long no fans are gonna work.chiller is the way to go specially on small tanks,maybe you can get away with it on bigger tanks.

    Anyone got a recommendation on a small chiller at a good price ? Should have bought one second hand in winter. 200l tank

    For sure Heni, I don't think two second hand ones will come up in the next week or two, lol, summer coming. I'm probably going to buy a new one, not sure what's a fair value unit . My tank is already hitting 27c
