Excellent write-up Jaco, thanks. If you don't mind I'd like to post a copy of it in the Article Section if it's ok with you?

Firstly @Viper357 why is this thread on the fron x3? Or is it just on my side?

Tremayn, I doubt that it would have an affect on corals, I have not seen any issues. You must however put your powerheads off when dosing, then after 30 minutes or so you can go back on.

I have not seen any harm done on any of my NPS, even if ingesting some... You can maybe do the excersize and post what you found.

Ive used aptasia-X before and can tesify that it works very well even for a noob like me who didnt know what I was doing at first...

And best is it doesnt seem to affect my other corals too badly....although Im still carefull of spilling it on them.

I belive the manual also states that for the Red Sea - Aiptasia X all the excess suff can be placed in the sump it will disolve without and ill effect.

yes it goes hard once you have applied it to the area and then slowly dissolves

Yes Numpty, I know but as I said I am not going to talk about the biological side of aiptasia control, which you did cover.

You also did not cover Joe's Juice, so I just added that on... ;)

    It works very well Adee.

Just to add to Jaco's brilliant write up is to turn off all powerheads when applying the stuff so it doesn't get blown off before it has had time to do it's thing

I used Aptasia-X, and it works.

    But
A month later, one the same spot, I got babies coming out.
And if you mess a bit, and it falls on a button polyp, its good buy for the button. I would be extremely cautious to use it between zoa's.

Zoa's button polyps and aptasia are all related.

Ok, so yesterday I got some of the Aptasia-X....and laid it on thick on the majano, must have used about 6 full syringes of the stuff. This morning it looks like 98% of them are gone. There are couple still sulking, not sure if they still on their way out though. The needle tip with the bend really helps to get in those hard to reach places. Was a bit worried after I switched the pumps back on, and the tangs started nipping on the bits of the "pioson" that swirled around inthe water column....all the fish are fine. I rate it miles better the Joe's juice which I have used as well.
