I got this nudi in my mantis tank, the little guy piggy backs on hermits and even the cucumber. Was funny how he tried to get off as the hermit wasn't standing still - took him a while - sorry for pics, tank is round and phone is flat :p

I started a thread a day or so ago about a friend of mine who's sister in law brought him stuff from the Northen Natal coast. This nudi was in one of the shells the kids picked up.
After removing all the empty shells from the buckets and placed them on the ground, I saw something moved. It was this nudi.
It is obvious he is very hardy as not only did he travel in a small bucket a good few hrs, the temp of the bucket water was also 10-15 deg and he was out the water for a couple of min as we didn't see him. Let's just hope there will be food for him to chow in my mantis tank. I know there are a lot of sponges and bubble algae treats, but the question is - is that what he wants?

Nice - a fairly common one down here in PE. I've never bothered keeping them in the tank. Here's a pic from PE laying eggs :

    funny stuff.
I took a photo recently of a similar species - Blue speckled dorid:

I love the patterns on the body, they look like autumn leaves.
Yours is called the Contoured dorid.
Both believed to feed on sponges.

I lost half my tank due to one of those buggers getting chowed, they turn toxic and kill shrimp etc.
