Hi guys,

I initially posted a request for caulopra which is obviously not the plant of choice. Is there anybody willing to help wtih some Cheato. More than willing to compensate the person for who can harvest some for their time.

I am willing to collect anywhere in Gauteng, Pretoria and collect via courier if another province.

Woudl truly appreciate any help :)
 
Cheato should be given away, not sold. Anyway you have to trim your bush and trow some away. So how can you sell stuff that you take out of the rubbish bin?

If the ball becames TOO BIG. Then it outcompetes itself for food. And you will end up with it partially dying back. And releasing what ever it consumed. What is the point in that. So you have to remove portions before it die back.

And you only need a little bit bigger than tennis ball to start of with.

I harvested mine last month and gave half of it away. End of January I would be able to help you.

Almost jumped on you....

Nice to be able to help other reefers. I got a small piece from Neil H originally. I gave so many away since then. At one point my ball completely filled a 2 foot tank. The 150mm water above the DSB.
Now it is smaller than a soccor ball.
 
hahaha, I thought you might... LOL Ja mine was also like a tennis ball, and now its taking up my whole DSB area, I didnt actually know that you HAVE TO trim it until i saw your comment.... figure that why my nitrates are a lil high lately.... learn something new every day....

As a newbie I once paid R45 for a palm sized bunch from a LFC .... needless to say he lost my support/loyalty permanently after I found out that this is given away by the bunches between fellow reefers .... LOL
 
Hi All

Due to unexpected problems I was unable to collect the Cheato offered to me. I am back in Roodepoort and I am hoping that a hobbyist in the west rand might have some to share.

Also willing to collect in any JHB area - I am at Monte Casino nightly and could easily collect.

Appreciate any help

im on the east rand if you willing to travel to collect you can have some anytime
