    Hey guys

    i started running cheato in one of my bank of tanks with a 12v osram globe and it grew so much in a month that i harvested it 2 times a week.

    My one bank of tanks sump was so thick of the cheato that i pruned half and placed it in my other sump of the other tanks and both of the sumps is covered to the top of cheato.

    This little light works like a bomb

    i'll add pics by tomorrow;)

    Try it it works:yeahdude::yeahdude::yeahdude::yeahdude:

    I think Light it the most inportant factor, I've just upgraded from 1x 14w ES to a 45w ES Floodlight, lets give it a week and see.

    it doesn't have a "k"{ rating on it, i used 2 diffrent types and both seem to have the same effect, make sure it is 50w

    :lol::lol: snail mail

    the 24w 12v globes doesn't seem to work as good as the 50w globes, so i think your 45w ES will do just aswell. You forgot about the gorgonia?

    i did, anyone else bringing stuff down to durbs?

    50w on a 12v system will require quite a power supply, that 4.2amps. what supply you using, a battery charger?

    lIghty - I too have 2 x 50 watt halogen (those lights that are used in houses to supply the "sunken light" effect) over my chaetomorpha. I saw the idea from Lanzo when I was there in November. I bought a set of these lights in The Netherlands when I lived there (many many moons ago). I just used them "as is". It has it's own transformer that comes with it......

    Do you know which ones I am talking about?
