Going through some threads and stocklists at the LFS I noticed the common term of Chalice Coral being related to two different species, could someone elaborate on the difference between Echinophyllia and Oxypora.

From reading my two books it appears that the main difference between the two seems to be the corallites. It does go into slightly more detail, let me know if you want more info and I'll type it out for you.

Pads - I think that Viper could be correct. The actual "polyps" (corralites) differ in shape and size (slightly, though)....

Thanks guys! Sheesh you think they could be anymore picky.
Dean if you don't mind I would really like to know more on the specific differences if its possible for you to scan it, don't worry about typing it out if the descriptions are lengthy, not tha important simply an interest. I'll try do some more research on the web and see what I can find. Thx again:thumbup:
