Hi all I managed to get a small piece of chaeto on the weekend Thanks @eric.f I am a bit concerned though. I always thought it floated where mine has sunk to the bottom of my sump should I put something in there to hold it closer to the surface closer the light or do I just leave it at the bottom?

its good to get a tumbling action on it while it is small as it grows it should float more, you can do this with airbubbles or a small pump

mine sinks, not an issue if part of sump where you got it is not too deep, max about 200mm, upto 250mm. Biggest issue is that it is pushed away from under the light into darker area of the sump. Where it dies slowly.
