Does anyone know of a method of catching a large crab in my tank. Dont know what kind it is. Only briefly seen it twice (about 5cm) and think that its the reason for my copperband disappearing. How can I bait it without causing harm to my other fish. Is there a somekind of trap i can get.

u can use a whiskey glass with some food in it, leave it out at night and it will catch the crab, also a the bottom of a 2l coke bottle with some gravel and food into should do
best done at night and most crabs are nocturnal.

Thanks very much for the advise will try the whisky glass. That sounds like the best option. Or I could get a beer and sit next to my tank and fish for it. Think that will take to long though.
whats the best bait or food for the crab. Will a prawn work?

No Jokes....Wozzy you can catch a crab with fishingline )(they actually just entagle themselves.

Use some "fatty fish" pref. dipped in a bit of garlic to attract them. But prawn will also work.

Yes take a beer with...makes it easier on the waiting game

yes it help for the stress and long waiting time to sickle
you can use stocking with bait inside as well the crab will tangle it self in it but the hook line and beer is a better option :1:
