    Hi All,

So my tank has been finished cycling for 2 weeks now- the actual cycle took about 6 weeks- would say 5 but I erred on the side of caution... and yes pics are coming- I have added 1 or 2 shrooms, I have 2 questions...

First I have a crab and from what I can tell he aint a good guy- think a "hairy crab"? if im not mistaken.. i need to catch him- im nervous to put CUC in case he nails a cleaner shrimp- not sure if thats likely?

Anyway so 1st question how do i catch the bugger- im sure Warr would like it for his mantis...

    2 question
Excuse the ignorance or incorrect terms /ideas but would love to add some leathers and or a torch coral- especially a torch coral- if possible..
Anyone know where I can get one?

    Thanks for the advice

    Mike

2 weeks for a cycle sounds a bit short.

sorry Brent I didnt explain that properly, what I meant to say is that the tank finished its cycle 2 weeks ago, i have deliberatly waited an extra 2 weeks to be on the safe side?

Hey mike i would suggest you let the tank cycle a bit longer 4 to 6 weeks is the norm, regards the crab try a long glass leant at a steep angle put some meaty food in it overnight. The trick is for the crab to be able to get in the glass and not out. This method has worked for me a few times. Good luck.

Sounds like your water has cycled. MAybe start with a few softies. Torch corals I have found to be difficui;lt corals that need a quiet a bit of light. What lights do you have?
What is your alkalinity? Anything between 7-11DKH is fine.

You can try and put a glass with some fish tied down to the bottom of the glass next to a rock so the crab can easily climb in but the smooth sides of the glass prevent him from getting out. You may not get lucky on your first go but persevere. Do this at night when the lights are out.
