My TL550 had been running since April and everything was transferred to my RSM about 6 weeks ago.

For the first two weeks with the tank all has been going well, had a bit of a temperature fluctuation (24,5-28) resulting in high salinity for about 2 days - 0.028. Reduced salinity slowly (but immediately) and dealt with temperature issues. Issues sorted and everything appears stable.

Added the carpet after two weeks, once everything seemed stable and settled. I also managed to acquired a chiller (although they are in short supply) a week ago.

The carpet went in happily and was / is eating well (chopped muscles, krill or chopped lance fish) every second day. It stayed put for over 3 weeks and last night it went walk about (all over my rics :p ). Today it looks like it is deflated and the mouth is slack (although it did eat some krill). The edges look a little wrinkled and slightly discoloured, but not bleached). It has attached to a different rock.

Not sure what to do. Is it just recovering from walking over rather rough rock or is it something a lot more serious? What can I do to help it? Just checked water parameters and all very similar during the entire 4 week period nennie has been in :(

Nope, to me it still looks okey, still "standing up" and not wrinkled up or lying flat down.....

I've had one of those, hard as nails in my experience. maybe try cutting down the feeding to every 3-4 days? they are like puppies or kittens, so long as you give them food, they will eat it (meaning move the food to its mouth and swallow which is it's instinct) but it may not necessarily be hungry, then regurgitate the food much later, I'm sure you can imagine what puking every now and then will make you feel like. It still looks very healthy tho. Good luck and keep us posted

    Thanks @gMAN and @carlosdeandrade

The edges still look rather "singed" to me this morning but it is attached solidly to the place in chose yesterday and is standing up. Will reduce feeding to every 3/4 days. Maybe I am just being paranoid as I believe these can wipe out a whole tank if things go wrong :p

Thanks everyone for the input on my nennie. Two weeks later and it is looking much better and is still settled in its chosen spot. All the edges are back to their original colour and the texture and I am sure the rest on my tank will thank you for the reduced feeling :)

    Thanks
