Guys I'm looking at adding a closed loop and was wondering if the jecod 12000 could be placed externally. The instructions on the box say internal only so this may seem like a no brainer

    But

I'm hearing of people using them externally thus my question.

Anybody tried or currently running one externally please comment

As far as i know they cant. Have read on other forums that they are not sealed the greatest so they can leak.

Bummer going to plug the 50 mm outlet for my closed loop addition until a later stage when I can get a pump that can do the job. No hurry I suppose.

    Thanks for the answer

Yup confirmed by various forums that they can't be placed externally
