Hey Sean, So i was going throught this old thread and i saw my post and your reply. Man, does time fly or what!!??
I picked up my new camera today. Nothing fantastic but I got it secondhand for a VERY VERY good price and to top it off Canon has a flippen shortage of 550D's in the country. I ended up purchasing a Nikon D5000 with a 18-55mm lens and a 55-200mm lens in a brilliant condition and it's only taken 2800 pics! It also came with some filters and a 8gig card, so guess who's going to bed late tonight!!

Those are general stuff applicable to all cameras. How you change those values are different between SLR and point and shoot cameras. On some point and shoot cameras you cant change those settings though.
