No tangs should ever be kept in a nano. Please send me a PM with the shops name.

aggg, sorry that was a little doff of me, although its most likley Acanthurus Coeruleus, common name Atlantic Blue Tang.

LouiseS, If thats the fish you were thinking of, then NO it definatley should NOT be housed in a nano as it needs an 800l plus aquarium with good swimming space. Your LFS is talking crap if thats the same fish im afraid.

first link I had a look at....Saltwater Aquarium Fish for Marine Aquariums: Blue Caribbean Tang

Hi @HenkHugo & @crispin - thanks for the replys

Knew that a yellow tang was not going to work for my tank but got very excited when was told this little look-alike would work. Thank goodness I have learnt to take LFS advice with a pinch of salt. If I had just bought it on their advice I would now be sitting with a problem :eek:

Alot of shops n cape town are mislabeling these fish. A few of the brisstletooth tangs, including C. truncatus are yellow when juveniles and resemble the more expensive A. coereolus. The true Coereolus, or carribean blue tang won't be appearing in any of the Kenya shipments.
