butterfly's and anemones

    hey guys! i just got a new green carpet anemone, its doing great and its eating. i also got two clown fish. so they are sitting in it and all, but my raccoon butterfly has pecking on the anemone for about 2 days now, and im pretty sure its not eating any food or wastes off it, i noticed that its eating the anemone's small tentacles. plz help
    should i remove the butterfly or what?

    Yes remove the butterfly as anemone is a food of the butterfly fish

    Raccoons are probably the worst butterfly to put in a reef tank. They'll nip basically anything.

    Yes some carpets do eat them. Lost my flame goby to one and the person who took it over lost his clown fish to it. But I bet in this case that raccoon will win. :whistling:

    I introoeuced a small sand nenny and my double sash butterfly just wouldn't leave it alone , kept pecki g at it

    is it possible for my blueface to eat the anemone(carpet)???

    Like I've learnt with angels, 50/50 chance. So yes it could nip at it. Is it badly injured? Did it get worse after the removal of the butterfly?

    yes because it was dividing and my blueface and emperors where niping at it so it died :(
