Looks like a mojano anemone. Can become a serious pest if it spreads. I would get rid of it. (in much the same way as aptasia IE aptasia-x and all the others)

Could be anything from a small anemone to a palythoa to a zoanthid...
Perhaps if you could get a better picture...
My best guess wound be some type of anemone...
Almost impossible to tell which one.

thanks for the quick reply. another friend of mine also advised me that it could be a mojano. only thing is that all the pics that ive seen of mojano are much more colorful than this one.

maybe i should put it in a quarantine tank to see how it will develop. if it is a bubble tip couldve it come as a hitchhiker when brought in the hammer coral or the montipora?

    that skimmer is too wet.
the little pin to the right, you need to open it up a but. Your water level inside skimmer is to high. And lift the skimmer a bit. Water should not come into the breather opening that is on top of the body.

I used to have the same skimmer on a nano.

thanks Riaan, pls tell me if this level is ok now. im glad i've found someone whos had experience with this skimmer as there was no instruction manual in the box. im a bit worried that it makes alot of micro bubles where the water comes out into the tank.

its a combo of skimmer height and opening together that determines the water level inside. Now that skimmer is higher, the level inside is too low. also being in such a low nutrient environment makes it difficult to set. Maybe put it in the display or your sump to get the correct opening setting with the height setting. anyway, now it looks like you need to close the outlet a bit. Just play with it until bubbles is at base of cup.

Yeah, also had the issue with the bubbles exiting. Just a flaw in design or to strong pump. As it used to be in a nano second chamber, the solution was to use filter wool above the return to stop bubbles being pulled in by return pump. In your case, not sure how to fix, if it is an issue.
