Can you keep a rbta and a green bubble tip nennie in a boyu tl550 or will they start a chemical warfare? just thinking that they kinda the same species so might be possible. ive upgraded the lights and ive got everything i require to keep the nennies. im thinking it might be a little small to keep two nennies. what you guys thinking?

Let me clarify my comment :D

They get to a fair size and a TL550 isnt very big. Rather get some of the dwarf carpet nennies.

Yes.. I agree..this is from one of the Links I gave.

Keeping anemones in small systems with other Cnidarians, including other anemone species is NOT advised... there being too much chemical and physical and biochemical-physical negative interaction to warrant the health of all livestock. Starting with initially smaller specimens, taking care to place the "less aggressive" species ahead of more so, distancing all appropriately, and being very diligent re your maintenance (water changes, activated carbon...) allows for more likelihood of all getting along... with the anemone placed last. Even then, the onus is upon you to keenly observe your livestock. Should other stinging-celled life proliferate, grow too close to your BTA/s, they may become very unhappy, try to move, shrink to tiny proportions, or outright die.

Charl , i think the guys gave you some good advice already ....but here is my 2 C as well (we didnt get a chance to chat on Friday)

Firstly the LFS who sold you the nennie (and we know who it is :p) , should have done their homework on your setup.

Secondly I know you as someone who has the health of the livestock at heart and not prone to impulsive decisions

Thirdly , I would seriously suggest ....let me keep it for you untill we do your upgrade , I will swap you for a mini carpet untill then

Im thinking the same thing. I wasnt really thinking on friday. I dont know why I made an impulsive decision. mustve been the hangover. Ill pop in on monday to drop the dremel and we can talk. thanks for letting me use it. I was given bad advice but I think the price of the healthy nennie(its really awesome tho) played with my brain. might be better if you keep it. thanks

haha, its beautifull though. Gonna be sad to let it go but I dont like taking risks and killing other or letting other livestock suffer. Ill take a pic. Frans offered to keep it untill I do my upgrade which hopefully wont be too far away.
