Hi everyone.

Not sure if this is in the right thread.

I have seen my BTA deflated and when it is it is pretty small. This got me wondering what would happen if it were hosting clownfish? What will the clownfish do when it is deflated?

Then another thing struck me, porcelain anemone crabs! I have read that overprotective clowns can chase the crabs out of an anemone. But to me this means the clowns were there before the crab/s? What if the crab/s are introduced before the clowns, will they still chase them out should they decide to make the anemone their home too or will everyone live together in harmony?

my bta only deflates two or three times in a week but that couldn't bother the clownfish in the least.. he would still keep lying in it big or small.
I don't have any experience with the porcelain crabs but my guess would be that they will still chase it away . they are very protective over there anemone..

Thanks @Nella

I have seen photos of crabs and clowns in an anemone, I just dont want to get the crabs and have them in the BTA and when I add the clowns they chase them out if they decide to host.

Anyone else maybe have any experience with this?

*Edit*
Why is the time an hour ahead?
