Only snag is the Kent magnesium that is apparently so effective not available in SA.

If you read the thread other brands have yielded mixed results. Kent seems to be 100% effective.

Have given it a try with Seachen and Aquavitro , pushed the magnesium to 1800, definitely hurt the Byropsis, went yellow and turned to mush in areas of the tank that weren’t optimal for its growth but in areas of strong light it turned yellow but remained tough even after 3 weeks.

Lost a frog spawn coral and a Royal Gramma in the process. Think some corals and fish may be intolerant of high magnesium levels.

Also my bubble tip looked a bit sad for a few days but them recovered.

Tried taking it to 1500 in another tank and the bryopsis didn’t flinch so definitely need to push it right up.

Lost my nerve a bit after loosing the fish and Coral but looking at the condition of the Bryopsis in areas of strong light I would say it needed to go up to 1900 to really smash it.

It seems the active ingredient is something called Fluconazole...

"Fluconazole is a fungus medication and I used a generic named Forcan."
